If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...What is the goal next year?
To be ranked? And, if we end up ranked this year, what then? A Mustang Fan and an SMU Class Of 08 Theatre Major. Believe It.

Conference championship, better bowl, ranked, then ranked consistently, then shoot for top 15.
Re: If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...be the next BCS buster.

Re: If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...then be in a BCS conference, then national championship.
Re: If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...Team goal for next year should be to go undefeated. We return so many key players and add another VERY good recruiting class with potential difference makers like Moreland at LB and Zach Wood/Robert Seals/Stephen Sanders at DE. No one on the 2011 schedule who we can't match up with and beat. Including TCU.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...I haven't even considered next year, yet. We haven't achieved any championship this year. If we don't, one might assume our goal would be the conference championship. If we do win it, of course our goal would be to win the conference championship. My guess is every team in a conference has the same goal...to win their conference championship.
First, beat Navy. Then win out the rest of the season.
Re: If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...
Conference championship, Liberty bowl win, end the season ranked. Will Memphis, Southern Miss and Central Florida be the C-USA East opponents next season? Also it'll be interesting to see who Orsini fills the schedule gap with. Hopefully we get a tune-up game before going to College Station. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...SFA
SFA SFA SFA SFA There are a lot of SFA alums in the area and it would be a great tune up game. Replace Baylow with SFA. Just send 'da money.
Re: If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...Get some better non conference opponents to prove we can hang.

Re: If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...the A&M game is scheduled for something like September 4th so there won't be a tune-up game. I think its good because A&M will be breaking in a new QB and finally we will have an upperclassman QB

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...Don't schedule SFA. Surely we can find someone else.

Re: If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...Play real teams.
Re: If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...I think our goal for next year should be to show some consistency, aim for the conference title, and get ranked and become relevant nationally. Undefeated is asking way too much at this point. Consistency is what got TCU and Boise to the point they are now.
We've still got a ways to go this year so let's hope we keep the momentum going. The remainder of this season is very important in terms of learning how to win and put away teams. Remember, we've got games at aTm and TCU next year which will be tough, but I would hope that we're at a point next year where we can get a win like that against a good team or in a tough environment.
Re: If CUSA Championship is the team goal this year...
TCU will have a new QB as well, although we get them in October, so he may be broken in. #NewLobCity
