Sorry our men's selection has been down for a couple weeks. We were WIPED OUT before the SMU/TCU game and have been working on getting new product in ever since.
SMU is doing a "blue out" for Homecoming and we have SMU coming in early next week just in time. Men and women.
And for the record, SMU isn't actually stingy about the license. It's the same cost at TCU. What we've noticed is if it isn't a high quality product, SMU fans don't want it (myself included - which is why I opened Gameday Cloth). So it won't sell if it isn't good, therefore stores don't order more. Catch-22.
Go Mustangs against Navy! We'll have the game on in the store with the mini-fridge stocked and ready.

Yes, we don't buy crap!
This year especially, I've doubted that 'expensive license' bs line....look how much there is available on the interwebs compared to when we really sucked. BUt, glad to know the SMU fan hasn't lost their eye for quality.

Thanks for the real information GamedayCloth. Guess I am the unusual fan as I have too many kids to afford the good stuff. I don't mind the less high end stuff cause they outgrew it.
That said, for me I want the best. Unless I eat too much, I can't outgrow stuff anymore.

I too have heard different vendors complain over the years that SMU licensing, fees, royalties, whatever...are higher than some schools. Of course winning can cure all ills and smusic it is amazing how much more is available now that we are winning! Hopefully that will just get better and better. The SMU Bookstore on Mockingbird can be pricey but wow they have tons of great quality stuff. BTW...anybody know when they tear down that shopping center where the new SMU Bookstore will be located?...Thats one of my favorite stores!

The shopping center won't be torn down for a long while. The current plan is to build the new dorms on Potomac, then eventually (read: 5+ years down the road), convert the shopping center area to student apartments with retail (including CVS and the Bookstore) on the lowest floor. I don't know where the bookstore will go when they do undertake the project.
