I have mixed feelings about a potential TCU move, but the arguments for would be:
1) more money
2) AQ status
3) more media exposure in the East
4) easier travel


As for my comment that SMU is about 10 years behind TCU -- I stand by it. SMU has an improving team today and may very well beat TCU next year. We look forward to a good game. However, the measure of a program -- rather than a team --is not whether it can win a game or a season, but whether over time it can develop the level of prestige to, say, start the season ranked in the top 10. If SMU wants to go to a BCS Bowl, it will take more than a year or two to get there.

Which is why I think a move to the MWC would be good for SMU. Playing better competition, being more of a standout within your conference, and being in the media spotlight as part of the movement to reform the BCS establishment -- all this would accelerate an SMU climb. Though yall seem to disagree.

Simple question, would TCU consider joining the 'new' MWC when it left CUSA? I am not sure. No, BYU, no Utah, really just a re-make of the old WAC that jilted both of us, without our Texas' conference mates.
