Looking for a good burger

Post by PK »

I know, I was one of the participants in the burger wars, but I've gotten a new job that puts me out at 635 and Webbs Chapel Rd. and I don't know that area at all. Anyone know of a good burger joint in that area?????

Thanks.

Burger

Ball's at Midway/Northwest Highway. Good burger medium or medium rare (rarely do people still cook rare). Go South on Webb's to Northwest Highway, turn LEFT (east) to Midway. In the Northeast corner of Midway and NWHighway.

Club Schmidtz (sp?): Simple Smash Burger. Cheap as hell. Webb's Chapel Extention at Denton Drive, just south of Northwest Highway before you get to Harry Hines. Next to the Race Trac gasoline station. Go to Harry Hines and go south almost the land fill, take a left at the Race Trac past Northwest Highway..

Hole in the Wall: East side of Harry Hines almost to Forest Lane. Very Close to you. Try the Barbeque Burger. Run by old family. Check out the scuba pictures on the wall. Go WEST on Forest to Harry Hines, go south, look left.

Momma's Daughter's Diner: Royal at Harry Hines. Actually, just a slight street EAST of Harry Hines, weird little street...Not a burger...but the BEST roast beef sandwich in Dallas. Sit at Georgia's station (the waitress). Go west on Forest to Harry Hines, go south to Royal, turn left...it's on your right (south east corner).

Brahm's is OK at Webb's and Cromwell.

Midway Point (Midway just south of LBJ) or Addison Point (Belt Line a couple blocks east of Midway) - same chain that once included the great First & 10. Carnivorous nirvana!

Strokers on Harry Hines if Club Schmitz is too crowded. Ball's is a has-been at the Midway-NW Hwy. location. Awful food, pitiful service and the place is dirty. Snider Plaza location is still "okay" but slipping. Chips' is a much better choice if you're in the bubble. Is this Burger Wars II ?

Thanks guys...that's great help. Nope, this is not Burger Wars ll, Bergermeister...at least not yet. I was just desperate to find a good place in this part of town since I working over here now. I'll try some of these suggestions out over the next few weeks. Thanks again!
