Some of the places I enjoyed for casual dining while I lived in Dallas: Patrizio Houston's Taco Diner Tin Star A friend of mine owns Urban Taco, but I haven't tried it myself. For an SMU-like experience I liked Abacus.

Gotta try Rusty Taco on Greenville @ University. Opened by the original owner of Uncle Julios. Great outdoor seating, $2 authentic tacos and great beer.
They have become supporters of SMU and have a tent up near the flagpole every game.

well, she did eat 2 or 3 pizzas a day for awhile after she posed for Playboy
At no time did my suggestion say current photos required.

I thought Campisi's was Egyptian food according to the sign.

If you're looking for Pizza, listen to those guys. On the other hand, if you want a nice cozy French restaurant and excellent bar and wine list, go to Toulouse Restaurant on Knox Street just a short distance from SMU in Highland Park. Or go across Central to Henderson on the other side and the Hibiscus restaurant or the Front Porch. All excellent!
Long live Inez Perez!

I would tell people to go to HP Village and go to Mi Cocina or Patrizzios (if they don't like TexMex). Right down rd from SMU. Historic, good shopping and food.
