so called die-hards may have other things to do. i predict 23,041
go navy-anywhere. let's play a school that doesn't cut block our dl. it's not patriotic to play them as i fear some are misguided to believe. what's wrong with playing the dregs of the mwc, big 10 or be-there are plenty of them. get vandy or duke. how about minnesota?

I'd LOVE to play Vandy or Duke. I think it could be a good game..and they are the schools that we strive to be academics-wise.

Vandy, Duke and Northwestern would draw less than CUSA West teams. There are multiple years of evidence to back that up-especially when you check attendance of those teams against SMU as well as other Texas privates. Navy crowds are among our best we play and you get an automatic national TV exposure. I'm not absolutely tied to playing Navy but there are some benefits. I like our non conference schedule exactly the way it is now. Don't think we need to change a thing. Unfortunately, the Big 12 breakup may force us to.

You know where The Boulevard concept came from, right? RGT came to SMU from Ole Miss...
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.

If we are talking about extending our recruiting lines, think it could be interesting to schedule an Arizona school and maybe a team from southern California like SDSU,
I would personally like to see us play a BCS conference team outside of the Big 12 as well, maybe someone like Purdue or Illinois, or how about a a team like...and I think if we're really dreaming here, a game with Notre Dame would be absolutely unbelievable

A Big East upper NE team in early Sept. nice road trip that time of year and a day game in early Sept Dallas heat would be an advantage. The Big East is the weakest of the BSC conferences, and most schools have decent media coverage. Beating a BSC school from a BSC conference and utilizing the climate to help us in a national media market wouldn't hurt.

I'm doing pretty good besides losing to Rice. Thanks for asking. Sumlin's had a lot of adversity. We might go on to tank this season but his recruiting has been up there like JJs. We'll get better just need to stabilize the offense. I just wish the QB situation was better, but we'll get there.

Sure would be nice if we could run up about 95 on them. I stil remember that scumbag Pardee doing that to us. At least we know JJ has some class and wouldn't do it even if he could.
GO PONIES!!!
