LB transfer? (former 3 star recruit)
This was discussed on killerfrogs a few days ago and surprised not mentioned here so I thought I would post.
Boye-Doe was a Rivals 3 star out of Keller. Good chance he ends up a Mustang. Currently listed as 6-1, 230, 4.6.
From RockyMountainNews.com:
RELEASE ME: Promising sophomore linebacker Walter Boye-Doe has asked for his release and plans to transfer to Texas Christian University or Southern Methodist University. He will finish CU's spring semester.
Boye-Doe, of Keller, Texas, said his parents recently were divorced and he wanted to be nearer to his mother. "It's a big decision for me, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do," he said.
Neither TCU nor SMU were among Boye-Doe's finalists. He said his high school coach was making contacts for him at those schools.
Boye-Doe played in 11 games last season. CU's initial spring depth chart listed him behind sophomore Akarika Dawn at weak linebacker.
Boye-Doe said off-field turmoil at CU was not a factor: "That doesn't bother me, but I am worried about coach Barnett's status."

2 reasons:
First & primary, TCU has no available 'ships and a couple of walk-ons who will probably take any available rides that open up before Fall.
Second, right now TCU has very good depth at LB, including another transer from CU as well a couple of extremely promising freshmen. LB probably not a position of need right now, but as you know injuries could very well change that situation.
There are a couple of good articles on him and he started several games last year. Talented young man.
