Love the Schmaltz brews, wish we could get their stuff in TX.

The Hebrew stuff isn't that bad...

I am drinking a lot of Goose Island Matilda lately, but not for tailgate....

Firefly and soda to start, then high life or whatever else I can grab from coolers on the vard...

It depends. Early in the year one might enjoy a light crisp refreshing beverage that helps cool the heat like Southern Blonde ale (Diamond Bear brewery).

As the year progresses, say like the coming game, one may want something a bit more robust like Sam Adams' Octoberfest.

Later in the year, with the colder weather, one might want a winter warmer to take the chill off like Jethro's Nanobrewery's Ole Pony Barleywine (10.8% abv).

And of course if we ever play BYU at home, all will enjoy Polygamy Porter.

Seriously, if I were going to consume just ice cold beer on the vard it would not be an import, but rather a domestic. I really like miller highlife better than Miller Light, Coors Light, and all Budweiser. And since I'm paying for it that’s what you will find in my cooler Saturday.

I always love treating myself to the Champagne of Beers. Especially when it's $1 High Life Night.

Sweetwater: Great names (420, Sc'wheat, Donkey Punch, Happy Ending, Motor Boat, Road Trip, Georgia Brown). Can't beat it. If you are ever in the SouthEast, be sure to order Sweet Water.

My faith in this group is partially restored. I was really starting to worry with the Bud Light is the epitome of beer greatness stuff being posted. Had a Black Butte porter a couple three nights ago. Last night and tonight it's Liberty Ale.

Bud Light was voted the 11th worst beer...

There's a reason why those morons like ice cold beer. You sure don't want to have to taste that swill.

Gameday Beer of the Week:

MOLSON XXX! The beer that shows full penetration! Bobby Big Wheel writes in:

Have you seen Molson XXX in stores yet? I'm pretty sure it's fermented moose [deleted]. I'm still making the transition from a pre-party at a friend's house meaning polite conversation and spinach dip and not dirty 30s and beer pong, so I brought some Molson XXX to a friend's apartment once. His girlfriend decided then and there that I would never be invited back.

That girlfriend is a prude. How can you turn down a SUPER premium beer such as this one? With a 7.3% ABV? A Google Image Search also turned up a promotional Molson XXX beer bucket, with a skull on it. I like Molson's approach. They're done [deleted] around. They are here to get you drunk and get your [deleted] inside something.

I said Sam Adams. The Oktoberfest is pretty good.

I prefer Lagers.
