Tulane did us a big favor, UTEP now has 3 conference losses. We're more than capable of handling both of them before the bye, if we do we'll be back in front in C-USA West at 5-1 (Houston should lose versus UCF on Nov. 5th). We have the best shot at 6 conference wins of any team in C-USA West.

Tulane beat Rutgers at Rutgers. It should be an interesting game for us.

Don't know about Tulane, but I can promise a victory over UTEP.

True, because it's not clear which Tulane team will show up. A week after that Rutgers win they got blown out by Army at home.

That's why I said that it should be interesting because Tulane doesn't seem to play well at home all the time.

WTF? I'm not a gambler, but I would have bet the house on UTEP over Tulane.

Would not have guessed Tulane beating UTEP.
Have no clue what to expect with next week's game in New Orleans with the way we're playing and Tulane's up and down play.

Houston also has to play at Southern Miss which will be a tough win

we can't "assume" a win over anyone on the remaining schedule...not the way we looked yesterday

Anyone who "assumes a win" in this business is just asking for another "L" in the loss column. If Notre Dame and Texas with the top recruited players in the country can't assume a win, then why would SMU assume victories over certain teams? Did East Carolina assume a win over SMU last year? Probably and it was their only conference loss. It sure would be nice to "pack Ford Field" to help our team instead of it being more like a neutral site.

I watched a couple of Tulane games earlier and believe that I stated we had better really be ready to play or they would beat us. I hope we don't go to Tulane with the same attitude that we had against UH.

Agree, that the crowd could be disappointing for the players but they prepare prior to the game and they just weren't prepared. Yes, they might have played slightly better in front of a packed house but there was just not any intensity to win.

GO PONIES!!!

add Tulane kicking UH all over the field for 2/3rd of their game at Houston when they had Keenum. They are inconsistent but very capable of beating us in New Orleans
