If anyone is going to blame McKnight for the poor kickoff coverage and punt returns, I think you also have to give him credit for the blocked kicks and scores the team has made off those blocked kicks. I believe, until recently (maybe it's still true) SMU was actually scoring more points off opponents field goals than our opponents were. That's a staggering statistic!!

Also, you also can't blame him for going with Sada over Szymanski, Szymanski has been battling a bum hip flexor, so I imagine they've been saving him for punts, FGs and extra points.

Lastly, Tom Mason is a TERRIFIC defensive coach. These guys have been playing waaaay over their heads since he switched the team to a 3-4. Losing a guy like Sterline Moore, really hurts us.

To be fair, none of that has anything to do with the fact that a coach should NEVER engage fans much less threaten violence..Can't show that you have rabbit ears

For certain, the remarks that our players or coaches might hear from the stands is nothing compared to what gets directed at players/coaches in the SEC or Big 12 when a team is losing.

Spot on.

Let's move forward and focus on Tulane.
