Dan Bell, director of affiliate relations for Texas State Networks. Mr. Bell spearheads the syndication of the Dave Campbell's Texas Football programming on TSN. Mr. Bell also is the PA voice of the SMU Mustangs for both home football and basketball games.

Not sure I understand your post. Are you just identifying him? Or is there news to report?

SMU told him a few years ago that they were no longer interested in his services.

Please bring Dan back!

It's a shame we have to listen to Craig Swann now instead of a great color man like Dandy Dan Freiberger. He was the best.

I love listening to Swanny, but Freiburger was very good, too. I heard that Freiburger is recovering from a very serious fall that temporarily messed him up pretty bad. He's OK, I hear, and going to recover fully, but please keep him in your thoughts.

Yes Danny broke his neck when he fell from a double deck golf driving range in Columbus, Ohio were he now lives. I have spoken to him several times in the past year. He is now fine. The accident happened last year.

Good god! Thank goodness he's OK. Broken neck? That's serious. If you talk to him again, please pass along our best wishes. Hope his recovery is complete, and that he's pain free and fully mobile, etc. Hang in there, Dan.

I miss Craig James' "3rd, and a train ride" like comments that I'd never heard before, and might even be original that were common during the first seasons back from the death penalty.

Maybe Copeland could mortgage Morrison Hall, and get him back.

After all, that was his steppin stone to ESPN
