Whoa, kids, let up on MrMustang.

Those who've been around know there's not a more rabid fan than MrMustang. It's not his fault that he's been cursed to live in Houston.

37-20 isn't running up the score in anyone's book. It's called playing it safe. We put the game out of reach, then took a knee. If Page took the last few seconds of the game and continued to play catch with the Comet, that'd be another story. If there was any poor sportsmanship going on, it was on the part of those Houston announcers.

As for the Comet, I was at the game and have no idea what those guys were talking about. Comet plays with enthusiasm, that's all. He's not being malicious or mean, he's just pumped up. The little guy plays like a GIANT because of his indomitable attitude. If those announcers are so petty and unprofessional as to talk trash, let them.

Let me point out one thing that's incontrovertible; whatever celebratory gestures #21 may or may not have made have nothing to do with why Rice won't go to a bowl this year.

What's with you guys...jeez. All MrMustang was doing was letting us know what kind of crap was being thrown around by the Rice media spin masters. No where did he say he agreed with them. The fact that he is glad Cavan's leaving is not any different than what a lot of others on this board have said.

Obviously the real classless folks were the radio announcers....so give it a rest on MrMustang and show some class yourselves by apologizing to him!!!

As for HoustonPony....Bubba, you are way offbase on your comments regarding the Comet. Yeah, he did showboat a bit in the Northridge game, but that was something he got reprimanded for and I for one have not seen him do anything like that since. So show your class too and apologize to his family and fans for that uncalled for remark.
