we get the ball to start the 2nd half; we had better score right away if we are going to change the momentum of this game

Well at least we scored tonight. Texas is losing to KSTATE 37-0 in the 3rd Quarter. This looks like one of the worst beatings that Texas has EVER had!

UTEP's last dive all started with a critical 3d and 5 on the SMU 17. A stop there could have resulted in a tie game. We did not rush the passer and had 8 deep back and gave up a long yardage pass. Our D coordinator is really missing his calls this evening. He has not called the right coverages in every key situation. I guess it doesn't help having midget and slow corners.

never easy winning on the road...just think how ugly that half could have been if UTEP receivers hadn't had so many drops!

Not getting a pass rush and the corners are giving a 10 yard cushion. Dropping 8 into coverage regularly but the linebackers aren't dropping deep enough and the DBs are playing too far off and as a result Vittatoe is exploiting the hole that is there. I don't know how Mason can't see this.

They've run 43 plays and we've run 23. They're 5/8 on 3rd downs and we're 1/4. Defense has got to figure it out, and soon.
Here's to those that wish us well and all the rest can go to hell!!!

When you are given gifts you must take advantage. We have guessed wrong and played poorly; so poorly that the UTEP O line is now really controlling the line of scrimage.
