Wow, ualr didn't win a single road game last year.

SMU doesn't have any of it's firepower eligible. 3 starters out for the year. I don't have any expectations for SMU hoops this year. Next year, we're pretty loaded w/a roster no coach would trade for UNTs. You act like I didn't expect this

That made me cringe when I heard that. This is going to be tough year.

No expectations-how about not getting run out of the house at home to a school that went 8-22 in 2009

save your outrage. if you weren't expecting these types of games, you aren't paying attention. The roster is atrocious minus the Euros and Leslee. They don't have a PG or anyone who can consistently score. Plenty of blame to go around, but the roster adds Cotton/Vilde/Smith/Pats/Manuel/Cunningham/Jones/Norman/Alexander next year, and a 5th ship. That's not even on the same planet as this team. This year is a complete write off

no sunshine at all. I'm painfully aware this is the least talented SMU team I've ever watched. No expectations, cause they don't have any horses. Lots in the pipeline but that doesn't help much now

Sarsaparilla needs to go back to Florida. Liked what I saw out of Mangrum, in the limited time he was on the floor. No coaching adjustments when UALR began to take away the mid-to-long range jump shot.

There is a heck of a lot of talent in the pipeline, but Doh has to find a way to pull out at least a few wins this year, especially when you have a freaking 9 point halftime lead.

I mean he does have a Senior/Junior dominated team and he recruited these guys. Its not like these guys have never played and they are just a bunch of freshmen. They have about 20 letters of experience probably more than a bunch of SMU teams.

Pretty depressing all the way around.

No place to park because of the Highschool game at Ford, kids running around everywhere inside, doing everything but watching the game.

Then that second half meltdown. I think after leading by 9 at half, SMU had only scored 13 points in the second half when UALR blew by us for good in the last five minutes.

Doherty's substition pattern is still suspect, Clink was our only scorer and he sat for long stretches in the second half. Papa looked tenative inside and didn't seem to want to assert himself, Harp is still Harp.

One way to look at it though, is we are so thin that we are going to have to count on Nyakundi to carry us, and he probably had (or at least I hope) the worst game of his life. Those wide open threes he bricked and air balled tonight are the ones he will usually shoot about 70% on normally.

Let's regroup and hit the road to Ft. Worth, I will forgive them for this one if they show up and play against the froggies.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

As an actual fan of SMU hoops, albeit more objective than the normal fan, it is shocking to me to thnk that a team that has done NOTHING in 5 years can decide to have a write off year and plan for next year.

TCU has said in year 3 of the Christian era he needs to show something or he's gone, and that's even with this year's team being comprised of almost all new players.

Maybe Orsini is really that cheap that he won't buy out Doh because Doh is promising great things to come next year.

To be honest with you, the talent in the pipeline is simply unbelievable. But none of that talent is playing this year. It will be hard to fire Doherty with the class he just signed + the incredibly bad luck of having the Euros ruled ineligible
