Pony Excess Dallas Premiere: Dec. 2nd Lakewood TheaterModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: Pony Excess Dallas Premiere: Dec. 2nd Lakewood Theater
I don't...so what time should I arrive at your place? ![]() Never mind...Lakewood is closer. ![]() SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: Pony Excess Dallas Premiere: Dec. 2nd Lakewood TheaterQuestion for Thad:
Was Eric Dickerson interviewed concerning illegal inducements he received from "other schools". (I bet he was). Perhaps call it the Trans Am Episode-its one of those unanswered questions that SWC fans want to know. "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

Re: Pony Excess Dallas Premiere: Dec. 2nd Lakewood Theater
For what it is worth, and I don't have a link or anything, I remember some time back reading that when the NCAA interviewed Eric, he basically asked if they wanted to know about what other schools had offered him and that they told him they were not interested...they were investigating SMU. I know this is only hearsay, but I remember it because I thought at the time it was pretty [deleted] of them to ignor the other crap going on at that time. It would be interesting to know if Eric mentioned anything about that to Thad. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: Pony Excess Dallas Premiere: Dec. 2nd Lakewood TheaterI seem to recall Eric was thinking about talking but reconsidered for the safety of his family. People forget how intensely competitive the cheating was and how out of control crazy some people were who were involved. Anyone remember the Alabama/Tennessee feud in the recent past with a mysterious death involving one of the key figures? Will be interesting to see if the current SEC scandal dies or mushrooms to reveal how dirty that conference might still be.
Re: Pony Excess Dallas Premiere: Dec. 2nd Lakewood Theaterit's pretty interesting timing that they delayed the Pony Excess when they did with everything surrounding the Auburn program right now. If half of what i've read is true, they're WAY worse than we ever were.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: Pony Excess Dallas Premiere: Dec. 2nd Lakewood Theater
I remember a player reporting how confusing it all was that SMU had just been handed the death penalty and when the players had the "meet and greet" with coaches from all over the country, this particular player was told by 2 SEC [deleted]'t coaches that "whatever they are doing for you here, it will not be a problem" Anyone who thinks big time college football is now clean is naive in my book
Re: Pony Excess Dallas Premiere: Dec. 2nd Lakewood TheaterGet there early . . parking's a [deleted].
Congrats on this grand event! You've worked really [deleted] this. Excellence is not an act but a habit. Aristotle

That's what I thought. Somehow I was reading into a change because of the AU situation.

Re: Pony Excess Dallas Premiere: Dec. 2nd Lakewood Theater
That was HP Yacht Club you might be thinking of - same space as trece, sip n go, sticks and probably something else. Boardwalk was in Lakewood where Matt's is located.
Re: Pony Excess Dallas Premiere: Dec. 2nd Lakewood TheaterThadfilms,
Exactly what constitutes "cast and crew"? And how many? I like BUS would like a tad more assurance of entry and wonder about the numbers game. Especially since it would require me to take a couple of days off from work.
