To guarantee an SMU bowl game. If we lose this game and Tulsa loses theirs we will have a spot in the CUSA championship which we could lose to UCF and lose our bowl eligibility.

A 1 point spread is almost like a 'pick em' for an away game...interesting spread though..tough place to play.

I don't like this game at all. We play poorly on the road and it seems like ECU averages about 35pts per game. We have only scored more than 35 all season. I hope Zach has a huge game and we somehow pull this off. I'm not feeling good about this one - haven't seen anything from this team to think otherwise.

I hope I am dead wrong.

I also have a bad feeling about this game, it'll be ECU's Senior Day in front of 50,000 fans and we have a QB that is playing like garbage right now. We probably won't make enough of an effort to run the ball to really hurt ECU like Rice did and take advantage of their primary weakness. I fear our offense will come out sputtering and we'll get down early thus beginning a rout.

This to me makes a bit more sense. Despite our somewhat up and down performances, I think we are a better team. I thought we were a better team after watching the ECU - Tulsa game. It shold be a close game but one I think we win.

Now we have to have better special teams play and the O has to make some plays. With Moore back, our D seems to have found its intensity again so I am not as concerned about our D.

This isn't a give me game (Tulane, WSU, Rice also turned out not to be give me games) but one where we should be physically and mentally better than ECU.

Some other sites are showing that SMU opened as 1.5 favorite and it is now down to 1.

Other than the game itself, the one thing I am most looking forward to is seeing ECU's freakin sweet midfield logo.

I think JJ will try and keep the ball out of Dominique Davis's hands by using Z Line early and often. I would like to see long drives that eat up clock.
