Actually, it takes a .500 record, which in a 12 game schedule is 6 wins, and in a 13 game schedule is 7 wins...which is why Hawaii never goes bowling with 6 wins.

We would need a waiver to play in a bowl game at 6-7.

Teams with losing records do not deserve to go to bowl games....................why recognize failure?

Careful here ... tried to raise this point last week along with Calallen Stang and were told we were losers, wanted the worst for our team, etc.

Wavier is needed, but don't let something like a little facts get in the way.

This topic has been covered ad nauseum the past two weeks, you should have read the other threads.

You did not point this out last week and I am not going to let you get away with it. You said specifically that we should lose to ECU to save face, let Tulsa be the west representative and save money on travel. You said nothing about the 6-7 scenario until Calallenstang brought it up and then you used it to try and recover from a very bad post about hoping we would lose. Well now if we lose the 6-7 could very well be in play. So only if we do what you hoped for will there be a problem. Those of us that want SMU to win every game have hope for a victory. And do not deny the reasons you gave for wanting us to lose. They are posted clearly for evryone to read.

Already addressed on other thread you posted, but your statements here all inaccurate -- never said we should lose to save face, or hoped we would lose, etc. Again, don't let a little facts get in the way.

Please see my post on the other thread. Like me, I know you hope we kick the ever living sh*** out of ECU, win the conference, and then our bowl game.

I'm pretty sure that the Armed Forces Bowl will extend an invite to us even if we lose for the simple fact that it is being played on our campus. Why invite another C-USA team (like UTEP) that is hours away from the game site? It just makes sense they would invite us.

I think they will invite TCU because for the simple fact that they are officially the Host school... :-)
