Attendance should really start to pick up in 2012 with TCU and Texas A&M coming to Ford.

It actually looks like the UAB and Washington State games were the ones that hurt us the most this year, but I still think our attendance will start out much stronger next year. Also, it's important to point out that we had "Operation Sellout" for the SFA game in 2009 and the recorded attendance showed to be just over 34,000.

Charleston, I think XXXXXL might be more appropriate for many fans!

Yes, however, it would be nice if it was our fans showing up and NOT theirs!

I thought the attendance was solid yesterday and was actually surprised it was not more. I think we will start to see attendance at next year's regular games approach the 22,000 mark with spikes for special events.
Considering our schedule next year, I will believe it when I see it!

I wouldn't mind seeing it shut down, but the University has consistently increased the prices charged for the privilege of parking on the boulevard. They might have to cut their prices by having a mandatory shut down time.

I'd keep it simple--just a repeating Spongebob laugh.

2009 21,814 2010 21,310
The problem is SMU's own alumni, family and friends
This is amazing considering there wasn't really a comparable game at home in 2009 to the TCU game to inflate numbers.
Actaully, there was a "sellout" like TCU last year. Remember the SELLOUT 2009 for the opener against SFA? After Staubach, Akiman, et. al. bought sections of tickets, we had an announced crowd of nearly 35K. Only your grandmonther with double vision could have come up with butts in the seats anywhere near that....

He ALWAYS does...so Kyle/QB can find him quickly after the play. You hadn't noticed before?.....
That was a bit rhetorical on my part. Of course I had noticed. He was wearing a lei, too, until this week, and it was conspicuous in its absence. I think KP would have been able to find JJ on the sidelines easily no matter what shirt he was wearing. Just saying he should have joined in the White Out. The band and students sure had it right at the start of the game.
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.
