I've seen LSU and I've seen TCU. No doubt that TCU has the best offensive line of the two (And IMO, the most athletic O line in the nation). I honestly think TCU can play with anyone week in and week out with that kind of talent in the trenches. Big men go a long way to a successful season.
Ask Zack Line about that.

Any one of Oregon, Auburn, Alabama, Ohio State, Stanford, Okie Lite, OU, hell probably even Nebraska would take a dump on TCU's chest if they played in a bowl game. They had to fight and claw to beat San Diego State at home and their one "marquee" win was against a Utah team that has been exposed in the last few weeks for being a fraud. I don't think that equates to getting road wins in major conference play like Oregon, Auburn, LSU, etc have done all year. Is this TCU's fault? No. Tough tittie toenails. Enjoy the Las Vegas Bowl boys!
Back off Warchild seriously.

Utah had won 21 straight games at home. Utah lost by six touchdowns. Utah had not lost at home in almost four seasons. They didn't just lose, they were embarrassed and abused like a step child as the #5 team in the nation. These are facts. Oregon has played one bowl eligible team this season.

Kind of like Boise wiped the floor with Oregon the last two years-Boise returns almost the entire team. Oregon forgot to get a First Down in the First Half in 2009 Utah wiped the floor with that great Alabama team a few years ago Boise beat that great OU team a few years ago. TCU winning percentage over BCS schools since 2004 is 12-3 or 80%. This is TCU's best performing, most dominant team during that period.

Lest we also forget that SDSU is 7-4, beat #23 Air Force, and lost to Mizzou by a FG, and Utah by 4. They are 12th in the nation in passing yards, and 24th in offensive scoring. Nobody will confuse them with Alabama, but they are a decent team this season.

Here is something people should remember. 1) Oregon has played almost no tough teams at all this season (they have a few coming up) but you cannot say their strength of schedeul is better than TCU or Boise at this moment. 2) why does TCU get punished for having a close game with a decent SDST and nobody has given any crap to Oregon for almost losing to CAL? 3) Auburn has had all of their difficult games at home with the exception of the upcoming Iron bowl, so In my mind the arguemnt "lets see TCU/Boise go on the road and win in the SEC" is irrelavent, look at AUB road games don't you think Boise and TCU could win against those teams? 4) LSU almost lost to TENN and Ole miss (at home) why does that not lower their stature? 5) by the end of the year TCU and boise will have beaten or beaten teams that have beaten the champions of two BCS confrences (VT and Pitt) why not worthy? 6) Boise has not lost in 2 years are there any other teams that can say that? are there any other teams that can say they have only lost once in 2 years like TCU?

that is all true but the cartel is about perpetuating the myth that bcs schools are inherently better than non aq schools. if they weren't then it would not make sense to have the system as it is.

It's not just the BCS that propels that myth, ESPN and the other networks are especialy important to this myth. They do it to keep BCS schools in the big bowls becuase they have more fans and lead to higher ratings

Honestly, my ideal national championship game this year would be Oregon and Boise St. Both exciting offenses to watch.
If they aren't going to scrap this whole thing at some point, then the least they can do is require a team to have no more than maybe 1-2 losses for the year before they can play in one of the top bowls.

One thing I dont understand is the approach Patterson and Petersen Have taken on this whole thing. IMHO they should give an interview every day where they say they are the best team in the country and the BCS system screws them out of an opportunity to prove it on the field. This would force ESPN and the like to debate this every weekend and could eventualy lead to change.
I can think of 3 reasons why they don't do this. 1) Boise and TCU even if they dont go to the national championship still recieve huge amounts of Money for other BCS bowl games and don't want to bite the hand that feed. This is stupid and short sighted. It's not like they aren't going to be selected for bad mouthing the system and they would make more in a playoff. If they were ever held out because they bad mouthed it would only expose the corruption even more.
2) They are worried that if they talk about thow the system is unfair their players will lose motivation to play hard and/or it will be harder to recruit if they openly acknowledge this fact. I don't buy this either because a) i would imagine fostering a hatered of the BCS and a desire to stick it to them could be a pretty good reason to be motivate to play and b) their recruits already no this and are often not really recruited by big BCS schools anyway.
3) Seceretly both Patterson and Petersen believe they will someday coach at a BCS school and don't want the system to change for when they get to benefit from it/they don't want to [deleted] off current BCS college presidents and AD's that would be responsible for hiring them. (look at Urban Meyer critical at Utah silent to supportive now at FL, Thank God for Joe Pa but doen't it bother you he is the only openly supportive BCS coach for a play off). I think this is the real reason and it is unfortunate because no matter how unfair the system is to their current teams they will likely never say anything about it.

impressive comeback by Auburn to win in a hostile environment in their rivalry game; they deserve to be in the title game...unless SC can jump up and bite them
hoping Oregon loses and Boise whips Nevada tonight...I think Boise deserves a shot if they roll back to back perfect seasons...including the win against TCU (granted, it was last year, but those 2 teams look pretty much the same as they did last year to me)
