His measurables sound OK, but certainly not extraordinary. If Bama and Tech are really interested in him, then maybe he's a legit player. But if he lists those schools just because HE likes THEM, I'm not sure how excited I can get about this guy.

Keep in mind that he's only in 11th grade. Add another inch or two and 10-20 pounds as he matures. Hopefully that extra weight will include the muscle necessary to improve the quickness a little.

I wonder how seriously we're looking at him. The top 3 (Phillips, Eckert, Romo) are coming back next year, as are Rowland (non-scholarship, I think) and Nixon. How many more are we planning to carry?

Either way, Winnsboro in E. Texas is definitely Bennett territory...I would think we'd have the inside track

If he has the measurables, take him...Why is anyone worried about what other teams are in on the kid..All that matters is can he play here!
