that's been my biggest complaint since the breakup of the swc...that's why i have bought it sparingly over the last 10 yrs vs every yr prior to 94-95 or whenever....

they might as well put longhorns & farmers on the cover & market it as just that!!!!!!!!!!

It do........ :D

PS Check your Dallas area Wal Marts as they seem to have gotten Dave Campbell's TEXAS FOOTBALL magazine first among all the other book and magazine stores. Good reading to ya' all !

I went to THREE Dallas area Wally Worlds tonite (between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.) and could not find a copy of this publication. Of course, there were plenty of Spanish-language copies of Glamour and Low Rider and numerous copies of Spider-Man 2 movie promos! Guess I'll try the WalGreen's at Preston Road and the Oklahoma State line tomorrow.

The distribution of DC's Texas Football I find most interesting. Even my Weatherford, Texas, Wal Mart had a nice display bin of the magazine as early as last Saturday.

I also understand over the holiday weekend that some in the Houston area have had trouble finding copies of the magazine, too.

I buy it mainly for the high school coverage and the Div. 1-AA and JUCO coverage in Texas. No other magazines do that as well as DCTFM (IMO). (Still can't find a copy of it at any Walgreen's or Wally Worlds!!!! Aaargh!!!)

SUCCESS! Got a copy at Walgreen's in Plano (Oklahoma State line!) on Preston Road at Tennyson. Good god! I can now read it at my leisure while continuing to look for a job!

The Walgreen's at Preston Rd. and Lorimar in Plano has about 7 or 8 copies left.

It wasn't as bad as I thought. The UNT player on the cover is one of 4 including a froggie.

Featured on this year's cover are: TCU's senior weak safety Marvin Godbolt, NT's senior running back Patrick Cobbs, UH's sophomore QB Kevin Kolb and TT's senior defensive lineman Adell Duckett.

Not exactly Eric Dickerson or Earl Campbell, huh?

And it's hard to believe Dave Campbell loosened his liplock on Cedric Benson and Mack Brown, and on his befuddling Baylorites. Whatever .... it's nice to see a UNT guy, a UH guy and a Tech DEFENSIVE guy get a little pub. Congratulations to them.

So when you looked thru the window and saw the froggie did you ask the Walgreen manager: "How Much Is That Froggie In The Window?":(

I have gone to three different stores around SMU and they don't have it.

Has anyone found a copy close to SMU?
