The D stopped ECU while our O worked out the kinks. That is huge pressure. And our D did it in OT where we have suffered disappointment after disappointment. The D did their job. Proud of them and they did create points off turnovers (which was hugh).

The D did what they had to do when they had to do it. And they beat the odds. Great game to the D.

First post came right after we couldn't tackle anyone. And I would have posted again after we let them score at the end of the game. Bottom line, if we don't want to be destroyed in the Conf. Champ game and win a bowl, they will have to be much better than that. Period.

Don't disagree. Just after a 14-0 start, the D stepped up and allowed our pathetic O to gather itself. A real test of character by our D. The didn't play the entire game and will need to next week. But on the road in a true pressure game, they ended up doing what they needed to do to win.

The team took a step towards being a champion. One can argue it wasn't a big step, but it was a step in the right direction. Two years ago we lose this game before the 1st quarter is over. Now, we get to play for a championship. Definitely a step in the right direction.

Yeah the defense was piss-poor most of the game (tackling and run defense was really pathetic at times) but ECU scores on everyone and our defense made just enough plays. That's really all we can ask from them until we get more talent/depth.

Defense was a step behind on every play in the first quarter. Linebackers (Except TReed it seems) had trouble making tackles in the open field against their quicker athletes. The D was given three chances to stop ECU for the win and luckily the third time they made a play.

ECU averages 39 points and 445 yards per game. What did you expect?

We were getting gashed on that zone read and their o-line was just driving our front 7 completely out of the play, it was painful to watch.
