Re: Nervous NelliesIt was 4 Turnovers-3 in 4 snaps-
Navy led just 28-21 at halftime with both offenses -- Navy's triple-option and East Carolina's pass-heavy spread -- moving the ball effectively. But while the Midshipmen kept plugging away, East Carolina came undone by losing three fumbles in four offensive snaps. Re: Nervous NelliesBTW SMU held ECU to 115 total yards less than Navy did. ECU is a damn good offense-about 132 less in regulation

Re: Nervous NelliesAt this point, who gives a great rat fart how many points we did or did not score in regulation against the worst D1 defense in the nation. We scored enough to win, and now we are going to the CUSA championship game. Not sure if you know this, but that's kind of a big deal for our school!
Their D stepped up (1) at home (2) on senior day (3) needing a win to have a shot at getting to the CUSA championship game themselves. Get over it.
Re: Nervous NelliesC'mon who cares if we didn't have a WR like Johnson playing...Kyle would NOT have hit him with a pass anyway the way he was throwing. Our 'TE' is really a WR that is taller than most.....with limited skills, but an over acheiver. Playing on the road accounts for some points, but NOT more than 6-10 points. Navy NEVER scores anything like that normally....
We were dejected because Kyle was still not putting touch on the ball and was over throwing recievers still and was NOT checking down on all options....we have a right to be a little under impressed with how things were going....SMU and Kyle rose to the occasion and here's to their success!
Re: Nervous NelliesThe SMU D was awesome for most of the last 3 quarters!!
Re: Nervous Nelliesyep from 12:00 of the First Quarter till about the 4th Quarter they played outstanding. Its disappointing they let ECU back into the game but damn they made 2 championship plays too that were the difference

Re: Nervous Nellies
Agreed. They were playing with intensity, and were playing better than they had in a while. Good to also see them get a defensive TD. No one has really given them credit for that yet, have they?

Re: Nervous NelliesWhen things are looking bad late in the game you'll probably hear me repeat over and over-somebody make a play-someone be a hero. Man look at the last 2 years-we were in desperate situations against UAB, UTEP Rice, Tulane last year off the top of my head-this year ECU, Tulsa and Tulane. Almost half our wins-
