That second kick in OT was clearly wide, just the one in regulation that looked close. It is what it is. It's not like Nevada didn't deserve to win. They really fought to come back. Kudos!

that would be a fair point if they weren't about to go to the ACC championship

I doubt Boise JC would have beaten the VT going to the ACC championship instead of the one James Madison beat the following week!

it's the same team. i loathe this argument...utterly unprovable and unmeasurable an equally ridiculous but slightly more sane argument would be...JMU only beat VT because of how completely demoralizing it was to lose to BSU. But that would be taking credit from JMU, implying that they didn't get up for that game more than any other...which is likely false. and people are discounting Nevada...it's a good team, they didn't get to 11-1 but being lousy. BSU has had a target on its back and Nevada's team was emotionally hyped for this game like probably no other they have played this season. If this picture doesn't express how they felt I don't think any can.

bottom line is that when you play the schedule Boise and TCU do, you absolutely have to go 12-0 to earn any respect from the big boys
now if Boise and TCU had 80k stadiums they packed regularly, they would be viewed differently...and would be playing in a BCS conference

I think you nailed it. no one gives a rat's A about SOS in the end. it's two things. 1. big stadiums 2. people to fill up the camera shot

USC plays in the ROSE BOWL next week! Of course it is against the pathetic Bruins and my seats are among the UCLA faculty! LawyerUSCTrojanAttorneyBillFan should love our seats, especially since we will be wearing Trojan Gear! He'll also enjoy the Bruin Fans waving Dollar ($) Bills to mock our victory "V" (similar to PonyEars) when the USC Band plays "Fight On". Still in the ROSE BOWL so we are going to a Bowl no matter what the NCAA says! As an added bonus we get to watch both the USC Song Girls and the UCLA Cheer Girls simultaneously!

Why not just go to your own bowl game? I mean, its not like you have had that many in the last 20 years...1 by my count.
Because I live in LA, my mother went to UCLA, and we go to the rose bowl every year no matter who is playing...its a tradition, something I'd imagine today's Toad fans know nothing about...
