Now that Boise is toast...

Postby Charleston Pony » Sat Nov 27, 2010 9:14 am

what do we want to happen?

assuming Auburn and Oregon win out and play in the title game, looks like TCU will get the Rose Bowl against Big 10 champ...but who will that be?

Wisconsin is probably the best bet (they hold the tie-breaker vs Ohio St). I'm pulling for Michigan to pull the huge upset over Ohio St today, but don't expect that to happen.

I'm assuming we will see Ohio St vs LSU in the Sugar Bowl and Stanford vs Big XII champ in Fiesta?

i'm sure the bcs cartel leaders are crapping themselves now that they can't put 2 non-aq's into their own bcs bowl. they're actually going to have to let tcu play one of the big-boy schools! and i think tcu's gonna be pretty pissed off they're not in the title game. look out big 10!

As long as Auburn or Oregon don't blow their last games. That for sure will be the best game. TCU vs Ohio State would be another great game with all the smack talk going on. Unfortunately for TCU they just didnt play a tough enough schedule this year in a bigger conference.

I'd rather see Froggy High lose to UNM and fall further than Boise State, and then play in some no-name bowl that nobody watches.

Call it childish. I just can't stand Froggy High.

It would be poetic justice if the Frogs went to the Rose Bowl and kicked OSU really good. Maybe that would shut up their idiot president.

But more likely they would be exposed for the 15-25 team they are.

Ohio St has more athletes than Mich and appears they will have no problem winning this one (currently up 24-7). If Northwestern can upset Wisconsin in Madison (doubtful), TCU could play Ohio St in the Rose Bowl

Personally, I'm pulling for TCU to earn that BCS high profile game...after all, that's what JJ and his guys have to use in recruiting (Boise, Utah, Hawaii and TCU reaching BCS games). The best athletes want to have a chance to compete at the highest levels.

Looking forward to the day SMU goes unbeaten in back to back seasons and becomes the media darling to break into a national championship game. By then, we should have crowds like this year's TCU game on a regular basis

A TCU v OHIO STATE Rose Bowl after what the Ohio State President said about TCU playing "the little sisters of the poor" would really be a fun game and have a HUGE TV audience.

Bingo.
Yes, it would be poetic justice, etc., but to hell with that. I don't want to see them in a major bowl with Brent Musberger falling all over himself to tell us how a glorified secondary coach is the second coming of Knute Rockne.
Put the Frogs where they belong, in the Whocares Bowl. They have had a nice little run, but I never can and never will wish success for them in anything they do.
Sorry. It's called a rivalry. My TCU friends hate SMU, and I hate TCU.
Wouldn't have it any other way.

And the froggies would get their [deleted] handed to them. I don't like what OSU's pres. said however, that doesn't detract from the abilities of their fball team.

I won't watch TCU in a title game because I will have hung myself long before kickoff.
