Got a Facebook notice about tomorrow's soccer game (which I will attend. Loudly.) But check it out:
"If last week's epic come from behind victory didn't convince you to come support the men's soccer team this week, then you must not be a fan of the intrinsic value of sports. Or winning. With that said, the men are back in action tomorrow night against William and Mary to battle for a spot in the Elite 8. Be there, be loud, bring signs, get excited and WEAR RED. Last week's crowd was killer, but I think we can out-do it. Come one, come all....but really, COME ALL!!! Game kicks off at 7. Doors open at 5:30."
"Come from behind victory?"
"Winning"?
I don't know if it's a soccer thing, or a tournament thing, but ... we didn't win. We tied. We advanced on the PK shootout.
Maybe it was written by a freshman or something, but the team deserves better (and more accurate) publicity.

In soccer, the clock goes up.
In college soccer, the clock goes down.
In soccer, it's recorded as a draw and an advance on penalties.
In college soccer, it's recorded as a win.
The list goes on.

Not true - after the game last Sunday, SMU's record became 15-2-1.CalallenStang wrote:In soccer, the clock goes up.

Interesting. I guess the SID staff and the online marketing staff don't talk.PonyPride wrote:Not true - after the game last Sunday, SMU's record became 15-2-1.CalallenStang wrote:In soccer, the clock goes up.
