I'd be happy with another Boulevard and zero travel costs for the school.

And hopefully have 60% of the fans like we did against TCU

If we don't win vs UCF (which I hope does not happen) then playing vs. Army at Ford sounds fine to me.

From a selfish standpoint I would prefer it to be in Dallas. I would have a better chance of travelling and attending.

Army coming to dallas has been pretty much a done deal since win #6 for them. I hope SMU is on the road somewhere. I am not opposed to the Christmas eve stage that Hawaii offers, though I hope we win next week and head to Memphis.

Armed Forces may get recruits back on campus again but an 11am game on a weekday when we will have very few smu fans for what will effectively be an Army homegame doesn't really do it for me. I wouldn't even be able to watch that game.
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!

ontheedgeofmyseat wrote:Army v. SMU at Ford just doesn't do it for me...sorry. Give me Memphis, Hawaii, B'Ham, etc..anywhere but home..seems secondary / weak...doubt if the SMU alum base would show up to watch this..same 8 - 12m would make the scene, plus the Army draw, "maybe" 17,000 total, plus give-a-ways, round it up to 20m, tops. Yawn. BEAT CFU!!!

1) Tickets are already sold out, as has been posted on this board repeatedly
2) SMU season ticket holders have already purchased tickets, prior to this season
3) We are playing UCF, not CFU

Dunce.

It is not a complete sellout-Calallen you've followed college football long enough to know there is a presale of tickets and then each team selected gets to sell their alottment. Geez the same announcements have been made about the Cotton Bowl for decades

I think they will release a few more tickets to SMU fans if we are invited. As Stallion mentioned they reserve an allotment.

Stallion, I am aware...just pointing out to the dunce that the joint ain't going to look like a typical SMU home game.

If you read this announcement with a critical eye its pretty clear. Now if you aren't a season ticket holder or don't pay a premium you might have some cause for concern

"Additional tickets will be available through the team ticket offices once teams are officially announced on December 5."

You aren't left out at all. Smu hasn't started even selling THEIR allotment of tickets because they haven't even been invited yet. ONCE smu is invited they will sell their allotment and seating will be based on your MC priority points.

Season ticket holders were given the right to buy their seats directly from AFB.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

I have SC seats and have been told that most of those have already been given to corporate sponsers and only the highest of priority points will get them....this being my first year in the SC, I am not in that category...

You'll probably be able to purchase outdoor seats for the bowl if we play in it, then
