I would suspect that JJ would be more prepared this time around. It would be tough but I think we could win that one.

What, he wasn't prepared last time? He had what, only a month to prepare for the Sugar Bowl but decided, nah, I'll just throw something together the night before the game and see how it goes.

I don't think he was prepared for the size and speed of UGA. I also don't believe that he had a successful game plan. JMHO.

or it could have been a matter of superior talent; Brennan had no time to throw the ball and receivers were knocked off routes. Bad combination

No matter of preparedness would have kept Hawaii in that game. UGA had an NFL caliber d line, great talent overall, Stafford, Moreno, etc. Hawaii had a great system imo manned with a bunch of guys who would have walked on at UGA (with a few talented players interspersed). They had a great o line the year before as Garret would remind you. I think we'd stay halfway competitive this year because UGA's so down right now but we're still very young with no depth and some glaring weaknesses.

that would be an exciting matchup, and we would be crushed.

This years 7th ranked BCS team would have lost to ECU in the Liberty Bowl last year if their FG kicker could have made 1 of 3 easy kicks.

Last year lowly SMU took the team that just ended the nation's longest active winning streak to the woodshed.

This is not the same Georgia team as before nor is this the same SMU as in the past. I think we could hold our own. We just need to get there and play like we know they can play.

You couldn't prepare for that Georgia team's size and speed in December. You prepare on signing date. That was a great Georgia team many considered as arguably the best in the Country

this is a big IF, but let's say we win next weekend in Orlando and Georgia does indeed end up in the Liberty Bowl...how would we stop this guy?

....well, maybe one of y'all wouldn't mind offering him 10 grand for his jersey?

I plan on worrying about it every day and every night until game time wishing and wondering why we couldn't have been selected to play a Sunbelt Conference team. I doubt that TCU is scared to play Wisconsin. And yes I realize that we are not TCU, but Georgia is not Wisconsin either.

lol, TCU has a pretty good chance against Wisc.

we're not on the same level athletically at Georgia...that's a fact.

Just stop...you dig holes everytime you post...

We can play with Georgia...we were beating the number 3 team in the country in the 3rd quarter.

Georgia has better players on their 2nd string than we have on our entire team. Richt would use the same game plan against us as he did against JJ's Hawaii team. And we are not nearly as good as the Hawaii team that he took to the Sugar Bowl. It would be an interesting game for a while I would hope. Especially if it is not freezing cold.
