Selfishly I do not want Hawaii mainly because I have 7 grandchildren that would not be real happy with me. However, I did mention to Mrsmrydel that she had never shopped there and her eyebrows actually raised.

My point is that it will not be a greater recruiting factor. Just getting to a bowl is a plus for recruiting along with the extra practice. Hawaii would be a treat for the current plalyers, but as the froggie said that can also be done in Dallas, and my hope is that they get to enjoy Memphis to the fullest.

If I recall, and I could be wrong, but his primary reason for watching us in Hawaii was because he was leaning towards committing to Nevada. If we had played Nevada (with the same results) in the Pimple Popping Bowl in Muskogee, Oklahoma he would have been watching us there. It was our performance that swayed him, not the Islands.

I will ask again, if Hawaii is a recruiting magnet, then why doesn't Hawaii have the #1 recruiting class each year, and why is the WAC not the #1 Conference?

He stated that in his quote. The exposure definitely helped us. But wherever we go I'm just glad we get 2 bowl games in a row because it will help us in the 2012 recruiting class.

We do not just have 2 Bowl games in a row. We have a Championship game thrown in also. This is a very big time for a growing program.

Beating Georgia in the Liberty Bowl would help recruiting more than any other scenario by far.
