New Norman Video

Postby PonyDoh » Mon Nov 29, 2010 9:12 pm

Not sure if this has been posted before, but this is a small video from Eric Normans junior year. The extended highlight reel that was posted here, after he committed, was from his sophomore year. Not much looks different skill-wise or w/regards to athleticism, but he does look a lot heavier in this video. Certainly, he's a gifted shooter

“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

He's a little slow on his release, not sure if that will be a liability at this level, but I already know what I want his nickname to be...the big fundamental. Not sure I've ever seen a kid at that level get set that well on his shot every time. He receives the ball with a perfect body position to shoot right away.

Thanks PonyDoh for the video. I wish I could have played against that #15 guarding Norman :D
Seriously, he can shoot it & understands the game. Athleticism, strength, quickness, and explosiveness are major concerns @ this level. Same issues as Sassafras imo.
