hope he's okay. A few years ago I pm'd someone making sure they were okay, as they hadnt been on the board in awhile. Turns out I found my answer in the DMN obits.

yep. Irony is, I always knew him as Diehard Pony, and once we learned of OldPony, and I saw Old Pony's name, I learned they were one and the same.

I still have the DVD of the 1982 SMU-Texas game he sent me...which he had burned from a VHS he set to record while he attended the game, no small feat in 1982 I'm sure.

I remember Old Pony's last post. Very incoherent. So bad that many remarked they felt something was wrong, and shortly thereafter his death was confirmed. Did not know he was Die Hard Pony also.

I remember that last post and everyone's concern. I also remember the sudden death of my good friend the "Old Mustang" who introduced me to the board long ago. OM was one of the original "long live" posters and always got "geeked" for our games against "the purple menace"
