TCU = NW, in the rose bowl every decade or so and overall good team

We might lose to Wisconsin...who knows? I'm not arguing TCU is anything special - just that the Big 10 has very, very few quality OOC wins and that is reflected in the computer rankings, SOS, etc.

TCU basically had open dates against Wyoming, New Mexico, Colorado State and UNLV. I think you know that. So if you're going to trash the bottom division of the Big 10, I'm going to trask the bottom division of the MWC.

You guys may beat Wisco, my point is that the OSU pres is dead on...you guys would not be undefeated if you played in the big 10...To take it a step further, I think you would be the in the Illinis, Northwestern, Michigan(recent), category...

Do I think TCU can play with Wisco for 1 game, sure, but I think SMU could as well...

But if you made TCU play the schedule of a big 10 team, with injuries and away games they would be northwesterm

Did you come up with that all by yourself? One game is a tossup? That is easily the BCS Conference Excuse of the day. They invoke it because they know they have a great chance of getting their [deleted] kicked. If Wisky upsets us you will be smacking how overrated we are. If we win it will be a "Fluke". We are used to it and just keep kicking [deleted].

I love it how the Big 10 schedules the weakest OOC in the Country and suggests it is because they have a Murderer's Row in Conference. Case in point: tOSU's hasnt beaten anyone with less than 4 losses. Iowa and Air Force would be a good game.

Big Ten Blows. Give us any of the top three Big Ten schds and I would like our chances of going undefeated. Samm with all of the conferences except the SEC (maybe as they are down this year).

I have a better cliche for you: "That is why they play the games"

Your statement is for losers.

How many wins do the teams in ALL these conferences have against opponents going to bowl games this year?

That would be a nice stat to analyze.

No doubt that the "one-game-in-a-bowl" theory allows both teams to rest and plan for a few weeks (at least) but does NOTHING to address the real world regular season grind.

Is TCU's best win against Oregon St.? South Carolina's against bama? A$M against Nebraska? Oregon against Stanford?

What did a team do agains the best - that's the barometer.

Hasn't this argument been beaten to death over the last couple weeks? I like the Big 10 as well, but they don't have a conference championship like the SEC, and the teams don't have to all play each other every year. Ohio St lost to Wisconsin, Wisconsin lost to Mich St, and Mich St didn't have to play Ohio St, but they lost to Iowa (who as it turns out really isn't all that good).

The argument that "if they played ten times Team A would be Team B 9 out of 10" is irrelevant. Each team plays only once, and Wisconsin on a certain weekend may not be as good as Michigan State the next weekend because of injuries, etc. Not to mention the fact that they aren't the same team, and who knows if they are of the same quality opponent. NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW!

I get having discussions and arguments like this are what the board is for, but seriously, you are making the same points over and over and over again, and neither side is changing their mind.

I hate to say it since I loathe pulling for the toads, but I hope TCU goes to the Rose Bowl and beats Wisconsin. If not that, then whatever BCS bowl they go to just to shove it in the Ohio St prez's face. Non-AQ schools have already proven that in at least 1 game they can beat an AQ school, and one game is all it takes.

Huh.

Wasn't that the TCU prez's retort to the OSU prez?

And then the OSU prez had to apologize for 'sticking his foot in his mouth'?

Any conference with Indiana, Purdue, Northwestern and Illinois has nothing to brag about. The question would be if Indiana or Purdue played Wyoming or Colorado State who would win?
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Baylor, Oregon State, maybe Utah.

NW would not be undefeated.
