Good to know that you speak for the entire state. Except of course for the lone person on your board who made the comment.

That's sort of unfair to Richt.

UGA Since Dooley:

Under Goff: 46-34-1, highest final ranking: 8
Under Donnan: 40-19 (only 25-15 against SEC), highest final ranking: 10 (in 2nd year)
Under Richt: 96-33 (53-27 against SEC), highest final ranking: 2/3.

Richt was responsible for getting UGA into year-after-year top 10 status for the first time since Dooley, and has really only had a couple of bad years...he's two years removed from a #10 finish.

major success? they had a few good years (when they were cheating btw) and finished the bigXII with a whopping .500 record (60-60).
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

I'd consider a national title and a heisman trophy, not to mention top 25 and top 10 finishes to be a major success.

1990 National Title that is just inside of the 20 year window. They have had success over the years, just not recently...Funny about the oil money quote since University of Colorado has one of the largest energy research labs in the country (with big oil money funding it)...

I think this guy is available, and would probably work for peanuts, and he'd be a politically correct hire as well:

So is Mike leach being discussed seriously for either of these jobs (miami or CU)? because if not he should be. Leach is a great coach and I wonder what is keeping him out of the game (might be voluntary). Also I hear UT is getting rid of Davis, Leach would be a great hire for them in that capacity as well if he and UT fans could stand it. If for some reason June ever left I would higher leach in a second and ban any kids related to craig james from the program

Leach was never up for any big-time jobs even when he was coaching Tech. Why would he be up for one now that he's out of job and is suing everyone in sight?

Big-time programs won't touch Leach because he has a reputation for being a nut. And not just that he's odd, he's hard to work with. The Adam James stuff was just the tip of the iceberg when it came to his dealings with the Tech administration. There are lots of good coaches - who needs that headache?

I'm sure the pro-Leach crowd has a different perspective, but that's how he's viewed by the higher-ups in college football.

good points but do you think he would be hard to deal with in every situation? I have a theory that the Tech situation was a result of Tech thinking they were more than they were and Leach wanting more cred than they were willing to give. And yea he is excentric but he wins football games period. I would think a school like CU which used to be great might be more interested in that than anyting else (the same for miami which always had a rebel swager when they were great)

The only thing funny about this is that CU never even thought of JJ. They tried to get several big name coaches interested and failed and have hired an NFL assistant coach who once played and coached at CU. Hopefully he will be a good fit for them.

UGA President Adams is responsible for the Bulldogs tanking. Richt was (is) his acolyte. I have no opinion about the qualifications of Todd Dodge to coach college ball in Texas but believe he would be an improvement over Richt even given all the proud UGA football history.

CU is paying only about one half of what JJ is earning. They are a cheapskate program and they obviously could not get any "name" coaches interested.
