If you bought a 'ticket' to SMU-UCF tailgate...

Postby RGV Pony » Thu Dec 02, 2010 4:51 pm

just got word from a fellow ponyfan that Anthony Travel cancelled it. Which explains the missed call from them earlier today.

What's that segment before NFL games called? C'mon man...

I'm not impressed. "Affordable packages" -- ha!

Mustang Club Tailgate -- cancelled. $50 refunded

Guests have been invited to the CUSA Championship Pre-Game Bash from 10-12 before the game. IOA Plaza on the NW side of the stadium. C-USA tent will be there.

Anyone know signed up will be on this entrance list. Food / 2 free drink tickets, cash bar after that.

I guess this our only tailgate option to get tother with other SMU fans in the same place.

I don't understand why Anthony Travel would be able to cancel an SMU tailgate? Was AT paying for the tailgate??

I guess Anthony Travel still does not have it's act together. I relied on them last year to my detriment. I don't think they are capable of handling our business on short notice. They have absolutely no leverage with any of the providers and they can't even keep their customers informed. I hope they donate one heck of a lot of money to the Mustang Club or otherwise the Mustang Club should find a more capable organization. I can go on with my rant, but won't bore all of you.

Either not enough interest, or UCF / CUSA didn't want them to do it. A little tough to put together in less than a week I guess.

They screwed us on the tailgate last year in Hawaii by announcing no more SMU tickets wold be sold and then allowing people in at the gate. My dear wife gave up her tailgate ticket to a loyal SMU fan who couldn't get one, only to find out anyone could have bought one at the gate. These people are an incompetent, over pricing group that we have associated ourselves with.
Long live Inez Perez!
