4-7.

Munlin leads WAC in rushing and TDs, loses Offensive Player of the Year to Hawaii's Timmy Chang.

Adami is Defensive Player of the Year.

Bennett sets the recruiting path on fire.

C-USA coaches begin to sweat.

ya, she is so awesome. What do you think about the TTU game? I just don't think they will have the offense they did the past two years, but that doesn't mean they won't throw up 40-50 on us. :(

I'm praying for an upset against TTech. We played them well two years ago, but that probably was a result of them not taking us serious. The key this year is going to be our putting pressure on their QB. Supposedly, we have more speed on the defense this year that will allow them to play more of Bennett's type defense. If that holds true, we have a chance. Of course, all the defense in the world won't help if we can't score. The fact that we have a different offensive coordinator this year may make it difficult for TTech to prepare for us...Like I said, I'm PRAYING for an upset.

Here's another site where there's a better prediction for smu.

It's better, but that site also has Clemson going 12-0, for what that's worth.
We were a bad bounce, or a dropped ball on the 1 yd. line away from about three wins last year. While we lost a few good players last year, I can't help but think that every unit (QB, RBs, OL, WRs, TE, DL, LB, and DBs) will have improved over last year due to age, speed and experience. Some positions should improve by leaps and bounds.

Conversely, it seems like a lot of our opponents graduated a lot of talent: SJSU got picked clean, LA Tech lost McCown, Boise lost their great QB... That's just off the top of my head.

So I think three wins are in the bag. Four is what I expect (too bad Baylor isn't on the schedule, although they should be improved). Five or more and I'd be ecstatic.

I think the key will be how we perform in the first three games, and the team's attitude after playing those games. If we win one, the whole situation changes. If we don't win any, the team needs to maintain focus and win SJSU.
Punch, help out an old man who may not be reading this right. It sounds like you are saying Boise State is one of the three games you are saying is "in the bag". Are you serious?

Interesting link, but some very odd predictions. giacfsp, add the prediction of usc losing a non-conference game. I don't see that happening. They'll beat va tech, cream colorado st. and byu, then dominate nd again.

2-9 for SMU? Maybe. But I feel a little better than that. Go Ponies!

always fun about this time of year to go back and see what everyone thought coming into the season. Anyone want to change their predictions?

I said 4-7 but the only way we get there now is through La. Tech. We have got to shake off that self destruction at Rice, screw our heads back on and beat La. Tech.

By Sagarin we are 6.5 pt. underdogs.

Let's get the offense going and avoid those errors.
Go Ponies!!
Beat whoever it is we are playing!!

We don't have to be superhuman to beat LaTech, but we sure have to be better. We can move the ball, and we've scored more than last year, but we need to punch it in more. And we need to generate something of a pass rush and keep Moats in check. We're not going to stop him (he's put up big numbers against some seriously good defenses), but we can't allow a 200-yard, 5-TD outburst.

I don't remember what I predicted. I'm now saying 3-8 or MAYBE 4-7. And I'll be happy with either. That would show progress and make me eager for spring ball!
