Poll: How Far from SMU Do You Live?

Postby MrMustang1965 » Tue Jul 27, 2004 12:08 am

I now live within 10 minutes of the SMU campus after living more than 4 hours away for the past 15 years and even further away from 1980-1988. I am wondering from the fans who post on this board, how far do you live from the SMU campus in miles or minutes/hours?

I'm 5-10 minutes away depending on traffic at the high-five. Then again, I am a current student and all......

I'm 4 hours south of San Antonio...so, another hour and a half to Austin, then three to Dallas...so...9 1/2? Truthfully, though, I'm either 50 minutes (American) or just over two hours (Southwest). I don't drive out of the Valley...just to the airport.

Less than a mile from campus. I can hear the band practicing when the wind is out of the northwest. I can also hear the bands playing at Across the Street bar which is due north of me...for what it's worth.

Distance from SMU

Postby MustangSally » Tue Jul 27, 2004 8:07 am

I'm a current student, so during the year, I literally still live on campus in SMU apartments. But for breaks and summers, I'm home in West Palm Beach, FL. Surprisingly, there are a lot of SMU people in south Florida. I'm looking forward to our years in C-USA when we might play UCF. I'll try my damndest to get a bus of these people up to the game.

I graduated over a dozen years ago, and I can still walk to campus in under a minute. I live closer to campus now than I did when I was a junior and senior.

A long 1,168 miles, which is a heck of a drive or a flight via RDU to DFW.

1,000 miles in the Heartland. Let's schedule Northwestern or Notre Dame again. Lots of Pony Fans in Chicago. Good graduate chapter
