Its odd how much better this team is when he is on the field - ill go as far as to say when he was healthy we won, when he was not, (or out), we lost. He was that important to us this year.
He is a stud. But a 5-10 corner with average speed and a bum knee will not be drafted or signed.
Sorry but you are way wrong. How tall do you think corners are in the NFL? Uh the same size......Safety's are taller but not Corners.....He has good speed at 4.4 and strength and size ( over 200 pounds) His knee cap surgery is corrective and he will be fine. He made a choice to stay and play. It will hurt his draft status no question, but he is very good in coverage is well known to be NFL quality.

If his surgery is a success, I have no doubt that he will play in the NFL.

you are wrong. He is not 4.4. and you would prefer 6 feet in your corner. Plenty in teh NFL are below that - but they are flat out fast if they are under 6 feet.
He has nice closing speed but he is not fast enough to handle NFL recievers. I really like him and he has been great for us - one of our best players - but I will bet you he will not make an NFL team.

If his surgery is successful, and no reason to believe it won't be....a bet is on. Average height of a NFL CB is 5'11 and size isn't the measurement of success anyway. It's the ability to stay with the recievers and he does it and has the weight that many CB's can't add and has an NFL swagger. He will have his surgery and work out with NFL trainers and will show a 4.4 speed and will be a NFL CB. Just hit me up before next season for a friendly $20 bet.

The question is whether he can recover from surgery quick enough to show himself fully at the combines. If not he may have to go the free agent route as did McCann.

Thomas has been hideous all season. I cannot see where the staff would even consider using him especially after the WSU game where they tore him apart and should have picked on him in several critical situations to win. Because he is the first backup it vividly demonstrates the serious problems we have at CB.

You're right, I mentioned on the game board that looking at our CB depth chart made want to gag. Thomas is small, slow, poor at tackling, has no ball skills whatsoever and I don't know what he did in JC to warrant a scholarship. June has to get us 2 JUCO CBs for the 2011 class, absolutely has to.

$20 isn't interesting enough for us to follow.....you guys need to up the ante or have to do something on blvd for the first home game next year. Ideas?

Sterling has been a real warrior for us...but it may be time to think about coaching if he wants a career in football.

Did anyone else see Bennie turn and run away from the UCF blocker on the play he got hurt? He ran away from the action and gave up on the play. Very embarrassing.

He was knocked out and stumbling and falling to the ground. The blocker hit him and that kept him from going down. He was trying to stay on his feet but was stunned. It was not embarassing. He was out cold on his feet.

He'll have to play in Canada for a year, at least, to prove that his knee can hold up after surgery.

Gostangs, Sterling Moore has been one of our best players these past 2 seasons. I know we all wish him the very best. Seems kinda odd to me that you would place a bet that he fails, especially on a day like today.
