I'm no coach, but I'd think this is a very good point about the concern on behalf of the Tech coaches. Sure, they know about Munlin's ability, but they also know he's a big, strong kid who (A) will want to do well against his old team and (B) has a lot of pent-up energy, having sat and watched last year.
But consider what else the offense has that it didn't have last year:
A new OC and offensive philosophy.
A QB who can really run (if Phillips is the starter) and throw (regardless of whether it's Phillips, Eckert or Romo).
More size and experience on the offensive line.
More speed and depth at RB.
Tight ends who can block and catch (based on spring performances, anyway).
Several new WRs (Lowery, Chase, Vinson) who the Tech coaches don't have film on.
I'm not saying we'll roll through the TT defense by any means. But it's nice to have the element of surprise.
