Sasser/Summer League

Post by moodymadness »

In 5 summer league games for the Bobcats, Sasser posted a grand total of 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 0 assists. He played 5 total minutes with 4 DNP's. If Sasser can't crack the rotation of an expansion team in summer league then I'm afraid his days in the NBA are over.

We knew when he left SMU that he had that corkscrew shooting motion, but I confess I was among those who thought the other facets of his game would make up for it. I didn't think he'd be an early Dwyane Wade or anything, but I thought he'd be a servicable pro. Hopefully he still can be.

Hopefully he got his degree - it looks like he might have to put it to use.

I doubt Sasser will have to put his degree to work anytime soon. He is a millionaire from his guaranteed contract as a first round draft pick. And even if Sasser can't make it onto an NBA roster again he should still be able to make six figures overseas.
