Why are we even wearing black? What's the impetus behind that?

I get that, but perhaps my question should have been, why does he want that.

June really likes black for whatever reason. Superstition, or just obsession I dunno. I remember when he was signed some Hawai'i fans said get ready for black uniforms and we all called bunk because it wasn't conceivable that black could be considered part of SMU's color scheme.

the black uniforms exist, ADIDAS made them for the team but I guess they havent decided to wear them yet, and they may decide not to wear them at all.

As for as new uniforms for next year, we will be getting the Tech-Fit next year, the ADIDAS jerseys that Notre Dame, UCLA, A&M, Tennessee etc. all wear.

Black is very thinning, which might be the reason June likes it. However, I think that we should wear green to blend in with the field like Boise does when they wear blue to match up with their blue field. The team should also paint their face and arms green to completely blend in. Great camouflage for an Army game should be worth at least 14 points don't you think?
