AR was outplayed by UCF's Robinson

Postby davidpaul123 » Mon Dec 06, 2010 9:39 pm

He had a big pick on a ball they both were fighting for and generally had him locked down. AR's TD catch was of course against a different corner.

Not saying their corner wasnt a real good player, just would have liked to see more from AR.

That guy is good/was a 4 star recruit but if Padron had any accuracy at all you wouldn't have posted this.

AR has blown by DB's all season only to have Kyle under or over throw the ball. So frustrating. There is no excuse for Kyles poor play.

He didn't know the offense last year but he was able to deliver the ball.

Aldrick had a step on this guy a couple times where we didn't connect, but numerous times he was step for step with AR foiling him. Great job by him, I dont' look forward to having to deal with him next year.

If you were at the game, you would know that AR had the guy beat every time...even on the play down near our end zone where AR was interfered with, he had separation when they ball sailed over his head. I'm looking forward to Padron/AR connecting in stride against Army

Those under thrown balls are killers; AR is not going to out jump many guys to steal a catch.

That's what I thought too sitting in the stands, but watching the replay on TV you can see Aldrick slowed down to create the contact.

I agree with the subject line of the original post.

I watched the replay-Josh Robinson had a great game. Now Alridick scored against a different CB in the 4th Q and had 3-5 yards on another CB very late in the game but Padron turned to scramble

I stand by what I said. AR had his only touchdown against another CB. Doesnt mean AR isnt a good player, just means the other guy looked better.

And Im not giving Padron a pass on his accuracy or lack there of in some instances. I just expect a little more from my top WR.

You did see that Robinson was an all conference first teamer right?

Yes. I also saw that the UCF Corner (also named Robinson) was a first teamer as well.

Again, it doesnt mean AR isnt a good player I just thought the other guy looked better.

lol that guy was never step for step with al. He used good technique to catch up which i posted in another thread. They didnt show the 10-12 times he had the db reading robinson 24 in a dead sprint. It just what they want to show. Just like you never see highlights of our defense making big stops or something, they only show the big throws and long runs.

One of the long balls was right on the money, Robinson made a great play. The others were not in stride or under thrown. Too bad Padron can't lead the receiver a lot of the time.
