Does anyone know if this is a volunteer effort? Or are they being required to participate? And right before finals, when they should be studying. Hmmmm...
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.

My wife asked that. From what our caller explained (female), it was a volunteer effort from their student athlete council. She's on the council and the administration (new Mustang Club leadership) had approached them with the idea. The s-a's picked the dates as an hour break from finals prep.

I received my call Monday night as I was heading out the door for the National Finals Rodeo. First thing my wife said was how much money did they want. Nothing, just wanted to say thank you for supporting SMU Athletics - classy idea.

He is going to try (money talks) but I don't think Arlington is going to be able to compete with Vegas for the after parties.

From the time cowboy is 8 years old they want to go to LV and compete in the Finals.

I hope money could not change that. That would be like changing Calgary Stampede to New York City... just not the same.

Couldn't agree more Bus. Last week there were 13,000 people dressed in Santa suits running a 5K to break a Guinness Book of World Records, 28,000 for the Las Vegas Marathon, NASCAR Champions Week and the National Finals Rodeo. Mix all those people on The Strip and you have the greatest people watching event in the USofA - tough to beat.

I heard the same argument about Oklahoma City sitting in a 6th grade classroom in Oklahoma. It's where the Cowboy Hall of Fame is, after all, they said.

And the Quarterhorse Association in Amarillo.
Things do change but Oklahoma and cowboys still go together.
