That would be good news indeed - he looks like he could handle one side of the line by himself. I hope he does start - I am ready to see Bennett's best guys on the field

I came in to town for all the home games last year, and once I got into town a few days early, and saw a little practice. I remember seeing Justin and asking "who's that guy?" Not only is he as big and solid as anyone on the team, but he practiced (!) as if his life depended on every play. No half-speed for this guy. He acted as if it was a personal attack against him when the defensive line tried to rush the passer. I want offensive linemen with not only his size and strength, but also his mean streak. That guy looks like a star in the making. I'm no coach, so maybe his technique needs to be refined or something, but the tools are there to be a monster.

Justin is still on the team. I was informed by the staff today.

that is certainly good news. If SMU is going to have a successful running game, it's going to be very important to be 2-deep with quality guys on the OL. This team is young, but has the makings right now of a pretty good 2-deep by the time we start play in CUSA. Sounds like there is going to be some pretty healthy competition for playing time. How long has it been since we've been able to say that about the OL?

Maybe he was upset by his rating in College Football 2005. He is the lowest rated SMU lineman in the game... :)

Without knowing Justin personally, I would assume he's upset to not be listed as a starter coming out of spring workouts. If it was me, I'd take it as a slap in the face and show everyone why I deserve to be a starter. He needs to come into 2-a-days and absolutely dominate (without injuring teammates -- his point can be made without putting players on the shelf for the year). If he's in great shape and simply out-works everyone, he'll be fine. Plus, he must be smart enough to know that OL is an area where a lot of players must rotate because of fatigue, etc. More than 5 guys will be vital to the success of the team.
