Army's defense

Looked pretty aggressive today, and did a nice job on Ricky Dobbs, holding him to 54 yards on 20 carries — an average of just 2.7 per carry. Dobbs is a stud runner, so while Army's defense might not be that well known ... that's a hell of a job.

I know Army and Navy run similar offenses, but does anyone know how similar their defenses are? For what it's worth, Zach Line ran 15 times for 88 yards (5.5 per) against the Midshipmen.

It is hard to get an exact feeling for Army just watching the game. i thought their team speed was not anywhere near our team speed.

Army didn't show much football discipline (too many penalties).

And other than the option, the Army offense is very limited in its capabilities.

I think our receivers have a very distinct advantage with speed and the use of space in our offense. And our D will be much better against the run since Army has little or no passing offense. After watching this game. I feel much better about our match up against Army on Dec 30.

Take away the 14 point swing on the Navy 90+ yard fumble return for TD and this is a close game. I feel bad for Army - You guys should beat them by at least 14 - 17 points.

The key stat for the Army defense, and the one that should worry us, is TAKEAWAYS. If you watched the Army/Navy game it was on display.

We can not turn the ball over like we are prone to do. Otherwise, we should be fine vs. the Army D.
