Postby The PonyGrad » Mon Dec 13, 2010 4:05 pm

Still #1 in CUSA in points and avg. stars
#37 in nation in avg. stars and #44 in points
(TCU is #44 in avg stars but #32 in points)

Gawd, when was the last time we were even on the fist page of the Rivals team recruiting rankings? Imagine what June will do with a Top-25 recruiting class!!

I can promise you he won't squander talent like they do at UT.

better take a picture because TCU just got a commitment from one of the best players in the country. Something is wrong with those numbers because TCU has hundreds of more points and LESS commitments than SMU

In a related note, I'm amazed at how well TTech seems to be recruiting this year.

A poor showing this year with a questionable coach / system / program and they're still rated #15 overall in 2011 recruits.

I have to wonder how many points they got for the #8 ranked kicker in the country? I assume that has a lot to do with points, the national ranking that is. Of course they also only list him as 2*. :?

What happened is that TCU has an unrated player so it artificially and temporarily depresses their numbers

That and the fact that almost all their recruits, though all three stars but 2, are nationally ranked. And one of those two, as you say, is currently unranked.

Nonetheless, it is an exciting time for SMU.

Did anyone notice that all the WRs in this class are 6' or better? And that the two shortest players (both DBs) are darn near 6'??

There she goes. TCU just got 204 points for the commitment of WR LaDarius Brown from Waxahachie. TCU jumps to No 25. I really put little stock on these huge bonus points. 204 points is more than some teams total points. I think it artificially inflates the results

we are also the top-ranked non-BCS conference school if you count TCU and Utah as BCS schools
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
