When we were kids, the Heisman was mildly exciting. Now the winner is basically known in advance after all of the surveys of voters are done, and they do an hour-long saga for what amounts to a five-second announcement. No thanks.

Some years it is a lot closer w/out knowing the outcome. This was pretty much a done deal beforehand and a landslide.

skip bayless used to refer to us as the polo ponies in the times herald.
kind of an inside thing.
i always loved/hated skip which is what i think he wants.
like him a lot on espn.
was glad he got so much air.
