One candidate I haven't heard discussed

CBS sportsline reports that Phil Bennett (Kansas State defensive coordinator) "desperately wants the job to get back to his native Texas." He interviewed this week for the job.

This is a former defensive coordinator at A&M and TCU, I believe, and has at least one brother (maybe two) who are high school coaches at solid Texas programs that crank out Division I prospects every year. Might be worth considering. I know he was very highly thought of at A&M, don't know much before that. K-State thinks the world of him, from what I've read.
