I read the article on the DMN website this morning about the local player who died. In that article they had a quote from his teamate Curtis Bailey, whom the DMN points out is a junior lineman and measures 6'7 350. I know it might be inappropriate to ask in-light of the situation, but does anybody have a read on this kid? Is he a blue-chip player or just a big body.

Bailey is one of the Top 4 (and possibly the top) OTs in the State.

Everything I've read indicates he's among the most highly-regarded OLs in the country. When he was a sophomore, coaches were VERY well aware of him. I gather everyone from Pete Carroll (USC) to Bob Stoops (OU) to Nick Saban (LSU) to Larry Coker (Miami) is ready to seriously roll out the red carpet for him.

This has to be a tough time for him and his teammates, after losing a teammate. My thoughts are with them and their coaching staff, and of course their former teammate's loveed ones.
