I think they are still shaking from the Navy cannon. Probably what causes the loose bowel syndrome in one of them. I think they other one is puckered up so tight from that cannon that he (or is "it" more proper?) has not dropped a load in over a year.

The cannon's going to be at Westcott, but it should still produce some entertainment. I'd hate to be the one who has to clean up after the geldings.

Again?
Well, that woman who posted the mascot info before is right. Any animal that is the team's pet (since that's what mascot means in this case) is the team's mascot.
I remember she said the "human" mascot is called the skinwalker. I listened her. She's got a doctorate in that stuff (under religions). And she's got another phd too.

Just when all the Karma gets right....the AD Dept starts the nonsense again by feeding this stuff about the geldings to a sportswriter.

BTW... Army is not bringing its mules. I say we give the asexual geldings to the Army so they can substitute for the asexual mules.

Here we go again...

Who knows where this info came from. Could have been a google search for smu mascots that sent them to ponyfans and all the bitchin' and moanin' on here put up a top hit.

Stadler - don't get mad at me please.

I still am indifferent as to who prances around the field and what color out jerseys are. I just love me some Mustang football.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

This is the most thinly veiled attempt to create an alternate handle I have ever seen.

Respectfully retorting, I'm irritated at the fact that the entire blurb was worthless. Fully knowing that they aren't going to spend a lot of time on minor bowls, or a 7-6 non-AQ team, Pat doesn't know which or how many mascots we have, picked an incredibly odd and difficult score for us to nail, didn't mention June, said everybody should watch because of Army, blindly declares them to have superior uniforms, states we're mediocre talent, etc.

It's just another columnist lining up to take an incredibly uninformed shot, which then becomes an unintentional pot-shot. Maybe it's our fault for sucking so badly for years, actually it probably is. But damn it, at least say we'll hit a plausible point total, 28, or at least accidentally and vaguely reference Jones' rebuilding job here. Maybe 'accidentally' state we have one of the older and more storied mascots in college football, or a QB who tossed for 3500 yards, or the top RB in the conference. Hell say "I enjoyed Pony Excess the documentary my company put out last weekend."

I know I'm probably grasping at straws because the NYSE ain't going to spike over a 7-6 SMU playing in CUSA. It's just another piece of uninformed crap.

Stewart Mandel's grunt who writes his online columns thought Tulsa was playing UCF. Just like a couple days ago college football news declared our most dominant era to simply be "The 1980's Boise State." That's incredibly insulting, whether he meant it to be or not. It's also the opinion someone from Lithuania might draw because there's only a large mountain of evidence to retort it.

Someone needs to advise Forde that the geldings are called GLUESTICK and ALPO because that is all they are good for and they aren't SMU's mascot(s)!!

PERUNA is our Official Mascot!

SMU’s official mascot was named after an early 20th-century patent medicine, Peruna Tonic, which was popular for its “kick.” Peruna is a black stallion Shetland pony that attends all home football games.
