DMN said this was only the third time in history. that a D1 team played at a D3 school. :(

Every time I look at our box scores, it's startling all over again. No idea where Walker was, nor do I really care that much..lol. I have no idea how Mangrum actually got real minutes at UNT, he's horrendous. Makes me miss Barbre.

After crap like this, Doh better have something up his sleeve w/that 5th ship. Thats about his only chance at even luke warm PR

We need to just give the bball program the death penalty. Starting over with all new players and coaches from scratch will probably get us back to respectable quicker.

We had the talent recruited four years ago too...supposedly. Where are they now. It seems these talented players lose their talent for one reason or another when they come to SMU. Their statistics sure indict that they have talent, and they were recruited for that reason. Maybe it's the system here or lack thereof...the players don't progress, they regress here. The coaching staff act like they need to teach them how to play basketball from scratch which takes up all of their college years, instead of honing their skills and abilities. We have leadership and coaching problems here!

How relevant is SMU basketball now in Dallas? A&M vs Arkansas and Baylor vs. Gonzaga at the AAC. Texas vs. North Caroliona on national TV and where are we -- on the road to Abilene to play McMurry!

talent is always the #1 thing in college basketball, always.

I'm not going to support Doh, but you bought the PR line coming from AD & hoops office. We've yet to have a roster much better than our results indicate. This isn't some vastly under-achieving roster, it's performing to its level. If you ate up hoopscoops #21 ranking for certain classes or whatever, that's on you for not knowing the score. Those rankings were weighted by size, not quality.

What we've needed is better roster planning, less chasing our tail etc. We haven't lost that many or won that many on the bench in Doh's tenure. Where we've lost is w/regards to having the right kind of talent. The blend of personnel and system. It's all splitting hairs, cause all of it's on Doh. That said, next years roster is really the first that should be expected to win, if we're going by talent. Maybe Doh coaches them down, which is very possible. Maybe we have a new coach, great. Either way, I'm excited to have a team w/actual horses, cause they'll determine more about the outcome than anyone else

It's just very weird having the year off, so to speak

Yea, I am excited by the talent but based on the past and splitting hairs i feel we will get the tomahawk again.

I agree its all fun but it more more to win against teams that people have heard of and can get excited to come to the games.

look I don't care if the Fab 5 are on their way to the Hilltop. How many years in to the Doh regime are we, and we go on the road to McMurry, fall down by double digits, later get a 21-zip run, and still barely win by three?

Please.

Let's see if Alabama St bookends their win from Doh's first season against us (it was his first season, wasnt it?)
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.
